A children's game that was intended to teach financial literacy. If you run out of money, John Pork will come for you. However, we did not finish the code within the twelve hours.
Inspiration: We were inspired by financial books and websites.
What it does: It was designed to be a fun way to teach children financial wellness for the future but our unfinished version does not really do that at all. It is more of a game of tag
How we built it: VS code python with the help of AI.
Challenges we ran into: We had trouble with git hub at the start as we had never used it before.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud that it at least runs and produces an image.
What we learned: We learned a lot about the python game functions
What's next for A dollar a day keeps John Pork a day We have a lot in store for the game. There is so much that we did not get to do for this project. We really wanted to have investments in stocks and housing that the player could interact with. We also wanted John pork to only come when the player ran out of funds. We also wanted cosmetics and tax to decrease the players money. I could definitely see this being a whole city in the future .
