Inspiration
I was working at customer support in my startup and noticed that most of the questions people ask are common questions and could be easily automated, the rest are appointments and complaints. I tried chatbot makers and it was very difficult to build one. So I decided to build one for small business which would require no coding experience, you would just need to answer the questions the bot asks.
What it does
There are 2 bots actually here. 1.The Bot which makes the bot, this bot can be used to make bots add and delete data. 2.This Bot will be deployed in the Facebook page of the customer and answers FAQ's and also take meetings etc.
How I built it
I didn't know to code much, I initially started building a small bot which shows nearby events using Eventbrite API , after that, i took up this project and worked on it during my free time.
Challenges I ran into
Initially, it was very difficult to understand lambda function, but documentation helped .I also ran into problems while trying to use Aws rds for the first time.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I really was able to learn at a faster rate as I had a deadline, even though I was not able to fully complete the project to my expectations. I am really happy at the way it turned out at the end. I will be working on the bot for few more days and launching a beta version soon for the public .
What I learned
I will need to spend more time on the presentation aspects and a few more hours could have made a huge difference, so need to plan better too, which taking such a project.
What's next for A chatbot which creates new Chatbots
Well I want to make a more stable version, and give it people (priority one) Also looking into possibilities of progressively asking more questions according to the messages they receive.
