Inspiration
Encryption and Cybersecurity are relatively quite effective in today’s society, social media platforms are still hackable, which means that their encryption algorithms may be discovered. This led us to develop something that would block this.
What it does
It uses double encryption to encrypt a text you enter into the GUI, and sends it to the person you are talking to, who then decrypts it, and sends another message back using the same method.
How we built it,
We used python, tkinter, Google Tesseract, selenium, Facebook Libraries, and more to build a comprehensive desktop application that encrypts a user's data.
Challenges I ran into
We ran into a problem when we had to use image processing to recognize images, as selenium was very hard to use.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
That we made a working prototype of the idea that we had thought of.
What I learned
Use Beautiful Soup instead of Selenium.
What's next for A.C.P.D.E
We need to implement this app on smartphones, IoT devices, and implement better machine learning to recognize more images.
