This interactive-digital museum will give you a glimpse into the shaky history of Asian Americans, current injustices, and a my personal experiences as an Asian American.

Inspiration

As a response to Wayfair's Best Inequality Crisis Hack, A Brief History of Asian Americans was created! This interactive web museum is inspired by multiple stories of past and present Asian Americans and their experiences with racial injustice.

What it does

As an interactive museum, guests are brought from exhibit to exhibit by a tour guide to listen to stories from different instances of prejudice and injustice Asian Americans have faced from various time periods.

How we built it

This project is built on MonoGame using C# in VisualStudios.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge is creating each exhibit and research - the museum is being built by one-person team after all.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Sharing obscure history and educating as many people as possible is a wonderful achievement this project does.

What we learned

A one-person team for a 24hr hackathon is crazy!

What's next for A Brief History of Asian Americans

More exhibits! The future of this museum will share more stories of Asian Americans, Asian immigrants, and Asian culture in the United States.
