Inspiration

Imagine a hajj, let's call him Ahmed, coming from Morocco, and for his entrance to perform the Hajj, he needs to bring an amount of money with him, but ahmed does'nt have a credit card valid internationally, so he decided to bring it in cash only. One day , ahmed came out of the hotel, he wanted to take a walk around the city. and he got robbed by someone. he losts all his money. Now imagine that instead of bringing his money in cash, Ahmed decided to use our HajjPay service, that allows him to have his own credit card supported in the KSA, and a direct access to his account whenever and wherever he wants, and now he wont be worried about the thieves or the nightmare of loosing his money.

What it does

Our service Issue credit cards for hajij around the world, and for a temporary time (just the period of Hajj), this allows the hajij to perform their financial transactions and purchases easily. Also the system we are building is capable of collecting data from the users, so that we can know the interests of the hajij during the Hajj process and all their financial behavior.

How we built it

we are using JavaEE technology to build the system, we'll be using the API Stripe Issuing that provides all the issuing cards capabilities including tracking and validating transaction.

Challenges we ran into

  • This API is still on beta so we're expecting some issues in implementing it.
  • Managing the data that we collect from the users.
  • Analyse the data using Machine Learning methodes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The idea itself is promissing, it can be developped more and more.

What we learned

we've learned how to work in a team and in a short time, brain storming, scrum sprints...

What's next for A-013-HajjPay
