Inspiration

People from all around the world hope to travel for Umrah and Hajj each year, travel agencies advertise with different range packages, with misleading information, or even unknown better packages that they are missing.

What it does

Yalla Hajj, makes you one step away from your Hajj or Umrah trip. You look for a suitable trip, and most affordable trip for you, and you are just clicks away from your travel confirmation.

How we built it

This project is proudly built with the latest google's technology in Kotlin for the Android project. The backend is written solely in JavaScript.

Project Description

YallaHajj is an application that eases the process of booking Umrah and Hajj trips. Easily from your couch at your home or your office, you just answer a bunch of questions that suites your needs, and your amazed immediately with a good list of packages to choose from.

Packages are added with cooperation with travel agencies, as we are specially targeting non Saudi's pilgrimages, it is so hard on them to choose and to get to different travel agencies before Umrah and Hajj, it mostly takes a lot of time, and they are always overwhelmed with a lot of papers and offers from each travel agency.

Think of it as an all in one app, you book the complete Umrah or Hajj trip in one click, and you receive a confirmation ticket on your app.

Promotions and offers, never been easier, a notification is fired from the travel agency to all users with matching interests.

The existing code before the hackathon

We used Google's support library, Retrofit, OkHttp, Dagger, RoomDB and Gson in the android application. And we used json-server to serve a proper API for trips list.

What was created during the hackathon ?

We implemented a user interface mini app to get the idea of how to filter trips based on your answers, and we worked on a cool presentation, that hopefully will inshaa' Allah impress you.
