Inspiration

The severe shortage of nutritionists in Jamaica, combined with long wait times for IBS and celiac disease patients to receive proper dietary guidance, inspired us to create a scalable solution.

What it does

Nutri-lab is an AI-powered platform that provides personalized nutritional guidance for IBS and celiac disease patients, streamlining the process and enabling nutritionists to serve more people efficiently.

How we built it

We combined AI-driven algorithms with licensed nutritionist oversight. Patients input their symptoms and dietary concerns, AI generates recommendations, and nutritionists review and approve them, ensuring high-quality advice.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges in ensuring the AI-generated recommendations were accurate, evidence-based, and medically sound, while also building a seamless review process for nutritionists to customize advice.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a platform that bridges the gap in healthcare accessibility, allowing more patients to receive timely, professional dietary guidance and significantly improving the workflow for nutritionists.

What's next for 81 - NUTRI LAB

We plan to expand the platform to other regions, continually refine the AI recommendations, and increase the number of licensed nutritionists to serve even more patients efficiently.
