Inspiration

With the exponential rise in the population of senior citizens over the past decade, the silver tsunami is reaching Singapore’s shore. There will be an increase in episodes of the elderly falling down unintentionally at home, especially for those living alone. Unfortunately, some elderly do not survive after the fall due to delayed treatment.

What it does

Our model takes advantage of the capabilities of machine learning in order to tackle this problem. The moment the elderly user falls onto the ground, the model detects and recognises this and alerts family members immediately. This allows the elderly to receive medical attention as quickly as possible.
