Inspiration
There is need of alert system based on IoT , Edge and AI for preventing and reducing damage from Natural Disasters like Flood, Dam Failure, Forest Fire, Earthquake and other calamities.
What it does
We are building an IoT, Edge based sensors which is connected to 5G network which can send the data directly to AWS Wavelength Region. The Inference Engine backed by AI Algorithms to predict the risk of disaster.
How we built it
We made use of IoT Sensor Data Simulator service, AI Engine for Inferencing on AWS along with receiver on AWS Wavelength region
Challenges we ran into
Setting up a 5G ready device in India was a Challenge. Later we got access to nova from Verizon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learnt a lot from 5G to AWS Concepts to AWS Wavelength. And Building a Social Impact Solution End to End
What we learned
We understood 5G technology, some of concepts related to AI, Use cases where novel AI and Cloud solutions can be applied.
What's next for 5G and Edge Solution to Alert on Natural Disasters
We want to pitch our idea to Seed and Angel Funding to get more impactful change in the society saving lives and reducing economic damage being caused.
