Our journey began with a simple yet powerful desire: to revolutionize lesson planning. We dreamed of a tool that would free teachers from the grind of planning, allowing them to spark genuine curiosity and excitement in their students.

What it does

Our 5E Lesson Planner is a game-changer in lesson design. Educators just input the grade, subject, and any special needs like interactive activities. What you get is a bespoke lesson plan spanning Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate, all tuned to these specifics.

How we built it

Thanks to Amazon's Partyrock no-code platform, we crafted an interface that's both simple and powerful. This platform lets us zero in on what matters most – the user experience and a clever algorithm that tailors each lesson plan with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

Challenges we ran into

A significant challenge was selecting the right Language Learning Model (LLM) and crafting the perfect prompts to power our app. Finding the ideal LLM involved a balance between sophisticated language understanding and responsiveness to diverse educational contexts. Equally challenging was designing the user interface, particularly the arrangement of input and output boxes. Our goal was to keep it intuitive and user-friendly, ensuring that the complexity of the underlying technology didn't overwhelm the simplicity of the user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are immensely proud of bringing the 5E Lesson Planner from concept to a fully functional demo app. It's not just about the completion, but its performance that excites us. The app works flawlessly, providing educators with practical, creative lesson plans tailored to their specific needs. Seeing it deliver good results and positively impact the teaching process is a testament to our team's effort and innovation.
