Inspiration
Demand for an easy to use website to find other people who want to play pickup basketball, make a run to target, or just netflix n' chill for a bit.
What it does
Connects people who are looking for others that are interested in various activities that require a critical mass of people. Allows people to search for others interested in a similar activity or in doing something at a particular time.
How I built it
We designed the website itself with htmi and css in Sublime. The functionality was coded up with Python, in the app Wing101. We used Flask to bring the two together.
Challenges I ran into
Our group went into the project with no knowledge of or experience with htmi, css, or any web development. We also had quite a deal of difficulty trying to understand how to connect our Python code and functionality with the website we made.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Achieving a far greater understanding of the various web development tools that we used. Creating a good-looking and relatively functional website.
What I learned
Caffeine can only take you so far. CSS is awesome. I still love Python (even though I hadn't used it in like a year). How to use HTMI and CSS.
What's next for 5C-U-There
It needs to be further developed and functionally flushed out. We hope to accomplish this over the next few months.
