Inspiration
Every year we release 51 Billion tons of CO2 equivalents. We need to get that number to Zero. This website was designed to illustrate a big picture of the climate change problem, promote understanding of the reality of CO2 emissions, and show why a large range of innovations and changes are needed.
What it does
Visualizes the breakdown of global CO2 emissions, and allows you to see the effects of different policies on the total.

the pie is visible! the checkboxes work! and the percentages add up to 100!
What we learned
A lot! Climate change is a hard problem that requires action on lots of different fronts, also D3 is difficult to use.
What's next for 51BillionToZero
We want to continue work on analysis and visualization of emissions and climate data.
