Inspiration

We talked to 20 companies and 2 research communities (and continue to do so), discovered a need for a Staff on Demand for research and commercial projects, from one side, and a lack of promotion, from another one. Thus, we proposed our platform as a solution, confirmed the interest, made an MVP and got a Proof of Concept with a paying pilot.

Moreover, last week, we attracted a partner with a network of 60k medical experts with their own labs.

What it does

We have a community of biotech researchers, from one side, and product & digital experts, from another one. They assemble teams and compete with each other to solve complex biotech problems. The best solutions’ authors are awarded by the company-customer.

Challenges we ran into

We've had our biggest disagreement while deciding about the strategy. Stas wanted to create an MVP first to show it to potential customers. And Ksenia advocated to talk to the companies before making an MVP. We didn't argue nor have a conflict — we just took into consideration our time expenses and concluded that it was better to understands the needs first instead of spending several weeks creating something that no one will use. So, we've started from the problem and not the solution.

We've made a profile, rating page and assessment system just in 2 days! And tomorrow we start a pilot with one of technoparks

We plan to scale this experience with technopark to other accelerators in Europe and USA. And our plans are here: August 2020 (3 months, $50к): 30 clients with an average price of $5k ($0.5k as our commission), 40k users November 2020 (6 months, $150k): + 30 clients with an average price of $6k ($0.6k as our commission), +160k users, 30% return customers April 2021 (12 months, $300k): + 30 clients with an average price of $7k ($0.7k as our commission), +350k users, 50% return customers
