Inspiration

The idea was to add a strategic betting element to traditional Texas Hold'em, whereby players would commit to specific pair outcomes before the cards were dealt.

What it does

The game requires players to first place bets on one of five different pairs, then engage in traditional card play against the dealer to see if their chosen pair materializes.

How I built it

I have focused on iterative development and implementing sound effects, which has enabled me to quickly build a playable version.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge was the persistent bugs that required repeated debugging sessions to resolve the same issues time and time again.

Accomplishments I am proud of

I have successfully developed a fully functional game that demonstrates the core game mechanics quickly.

What I learned

The development process taught me that creating a minimum viable product is quite straightforward with Bolt when you focus on core functionality first.

What's next for 5-Pairs Texas Hold'em

Perhaps a multiplayer mode with a sign-up and login system.
