4Nature

4Nature is an app design to raise people's awareness regarding environmental issuesby stimulating them with several rewards such as points that lead to some further rewards.

Inspiration

While building this app we thought how can we make people solve current problems in demand while keeping them attracted to do this on a regular basis.

What it does

This application was created to help the environment. We believe that our planet needs our help and represents one of the main problems we are currently facing ... there are many polluted areas, lack of green spaces, and our goal is to solve them as fast as possible.

How we built it

We have used Android Studio to build a mobile app. We have used firebase to store data and google maps API for a proper representation of the areas with problems

Challenges we ran into

Due to the lack of experience, we were not able to finish the project with all of its features, but the features we implemented are working and we are really proud of that

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we successfully used the firebase database in storing a lot of useful information that made the app work flawlessly for the users

What we learned

We have learned how to implement some android and firebase features to a real app, being so much different from the things we do in school. It was a really helpful experience for us in terms of gaining programming knowledge.

What's next for 4Nature

We will continue the project by fixing some UI issues, adding some verification protocol, setting up an AI to generate the points for every activity instead of a fixed number of points for each one.
