Inspiration
As someone who always has big plans and targets, I always fail to achieve them because of a lack of motivation. Then I decided the best way to achieve something is to have some accountability towards your goals. Self-accountability is good, but we tend to cheat ourselves and get away with it because it's just you. That is where the concept of "4cus" was initiated. A four-person group to keep each other accountable and motivate to achieve the common goal.
What it does
It all started with a goal. What you want to achieve. It can be anything, like making yourself better by eating healthy or doing physical activities, studying for a certain exam, building something, getting rid of a bad habit, being more mindful about yourself, etc. Once you set your goal, you can tell that to the 4cus agent, where it will ask a few questions and build your very own quest to achieve it. Then every step along the way, agents will guide and motivate you to achieve that goal with your other group members. Agents are used to keep track of your progress, check milestones and make sure you are properly guided through to the finish line. Achieving goals is important for individuals, but as a group you can support each other, and with the power of the AI it is more enjoyable. 4cus is not just an accountability group; it is an AI-powered real ecosystem to make sure that you and your team will achieve it and be there for you every step of the way.
How we built it
Thanks to Antigravity, it is a reality for someone like me to spin this up in a weekend. With the long suite of cloud and AI services, it's easier to integrate all other missing pieces together. Thanks to the Google code labs got the basic concepts and then dived into the solution.
Challenges we ran into
Setting up the Cloud account is easy, but enabling the right billing account and hoping that you will not get a huge cloud bill is nerve-racking. But I think I cleared those rough waters.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Initially, I had another plan, and at the last minute I had to change plans and work on this. I think this project has more potential than my original idea and is somewhat easier to demonstrate.
What we learned
I wish I had this app before this Hackathon so I will be more 4cused on this and build an even better project.
What's next for 4cus
I want to move this to a Flutter-based mobile application and distribute it as a freemium app where some features need to be charged a small fee to cover the cost of agents and make it commercially viable.
PS: I asked an AI to fix this description. Then I realised this is my authentic idea and how I feel about each section and overall about the whole hackathon experience. So this is the raw human version. Sometimes that's better than being perfect. :D
