Inspiration

We got a lot of inspiration from high-level matches which we saw online. There were a lot of Youtube videos about advanced robots, and we took inspiration to make a robot of our own.

What it does

Our robot can score 2 stacks, 3 stacks, 91 cactuses, and 121 cactuses. For a cactus, we take 4 pins and flip them onto the beam, which is fast ane efficient. We also have various aligners to help score faster.

How we built it

We started with our drivetrain, and worked our way from there. We tried various claws, clamps, and aligners, and we picked the ones that are the best.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of driving and coding problems. For driving, there were a lot of times where we couldn't drive fast enough, so we made many different macros and switched up our controls to make our robot more efficient. In our video, we talk about how we use normal and macro mode when driving. For coding, we came across a lot of consistency issues. We solved the problem as much as possible by aligning with the wall to guarantee a fixed heading.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Over the season, we have won many awards, but we are most proud of how our team has worked together to overcome many obstacles that we faced throughout the season.

What we learned

Our team learned how to work together and collaborate with each other. We also learned how to face the victories and losses throughout our season.
