TeaPot’s mission is to create a web service that allows people of all financial situations to receive legal advice based on legal precendent.

Problem: People in poor financial situations have significantly worse access to legal aid when compared to their wealthier counterparts. This results in some people never having their day in court when they really should. Just using search engines and normal AI powered chatbots tend to give you results that are out of date and are not relevant to the laws where you are from.

Mission: TeaPot’s mission is to create a web service that allows people of all financial situations to receive legal advice backed by case law. By using our service you can give a summary of events to a chatbot which will take into account legal happenings based off case law to give you an accurate response. TeaPot does not store any user data such that legal advice is easy to access and stays private.

Why it matters: Access to legal support is a cornerstone of a fair justice system. When poorer individuals cannot access this support, it reinforces societal inequities and diminishes the principle of "equal justice under the law.” By providing legal advice based on legal precedent, we can give a level of support that helps even the legal playing field.
