Inspiration

We kept watching the same thing kill our own productivity: app-juggling. A to-do in one app, the calendar in another, client details in a CRM, files somewhere else, and meeting notes scattered across all of them. Every switch cost time, momentum, and accuracy. We didn't want another single-purpose tool — we wanted one place where People, Tasks, Time, and Data actually work together.

What it does

3Rings is a productivity platform that unifies four modules into one seamless flow:

  • Calendar — scheduling with linked tasks and events
  • To-Do — task management with priorities, assignment, and status
  • Contacts — people and companies in one place (CRM-style)
  • AI Meeting Notes — an AI assistant that joins Zoom, Google Meet, and MS Teams, transcribes the conversation, and automatically extracts action items and decisions
  • Team Workspace — shared, permissioned collaboration so everyone works from one source of truth

The core idea is our sync logic: one action updates everything connected to it, so your calendar, tasks, contacts, and files never fall out of step. Native desktop apps for Windows and macOS let you work offline and sync when you're back online.

How we built it

3Rings is a full-stack web platform with native desktop builds for Windows and macOS. The AI meeting assistant handles live transcription and turns conversations into structured action items and decision logs. Subscriptions and billing run through Stripe, with tiered plans and AI meeting credits.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was the sync logic — making one action reliably update tasks, calendar, contacts, and files without conflicts or stale data. Getting the AI meeting assistant to join live calls and produce accurate, actionable output (not just a raw transcript) took real iteration. And building offline-first desktop apps that queue changes and sync cleanly added another layer of complexity.

What we learned

That the real productivity problem isn't a lack of tools — it's too many disconnected ones. Unifying the data and automating the sync removed more friction than any single new feature could. We also learned how much users value an AI assistant that does something with meeting content, rather than just recording it.

What's next for 3Rings

Deeper integrations with the tools teams already use, smarter AI (more automation of follow-ups and summaries), richer team collaboration, and expanding the plans as teams grow.

3Rings is live

We're excited to share that 3Rings is now live, with real users and paying customers.

3Rings is a productivity platform built to end app-juggling. Instead of switching between a to-do app, calendar, CRM, and separate meeting notes, everything lives in one synced workflow.

What we've shipped:

  • Four unified modules: Contacts, To-Do, Calendar, and Team Workspace
  • AI Meeting Notes that join Zoom, Google Meet, and MS Teams, transcribe the call, and automatically pull out action items and decisions
  • A sync engine so one action updates everything connected to it
  • Native Windows and macOS desktop apps for offline work with queued sync
  • Tiered subscription plans (Free to Premium) with real paying customers

What getting here taught us: The real productivity problem isn't too few tools, it's too many disconnected ones. Unifying the data and automating the meeting follow-up removed more friction than any single feature could.

What's next: Deeper integrations, smarter AI automation of follow-ups, and expanding team collaboration.
