๐ŸŽฏ Inspiration

In todayโ€™s classrooms, many students still struggle to visualize complex scientific or mathematical concepts from static textbook images.
We wanted to build a platform that turns learning into an experience โ€” where students can not only read but interact with 3D models of the subjects they study.
The idea for 3ducation came from our shared belief that seeing is understanding, and immersive 3D visuals can make abstract ideas simple, engaging, and memorable.


๐Ÿง  What it does

3ducation is an AI-powered 3D learning platform that allows students to:

  • ๐ŸŽ“ Choose a subject (like Biology, Physics, or Chemistry).
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Explore interactive 3D models of key concepts and objects.
  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Listen to AI-generated explanations in multiple languages.
  • ๐Ÿ“š View concept summaries, related formulas (using LaTeX), and quiz questions.

Example:
Students studying human anatomy can rotate, zoom, and examine 3D models of the heart, lungs, or brain โ€” while the system provides step-by-step guidance and definitions.

Mathematical equations are rendered using LaTeX, e.g.: [ E = mc^2 ]


๐Ÿ› ๏ธ How we built it

We designed 3ducation using a combination of modern web and AI technologies:

  • Frontend: React + Three.js for rendering interactive 3D models.
  • Backend: Django for API management and Firebase for authentication & real-time data.
  • AI Components: Integrated Google Gemini / GPT models for explanations and summaries.
  • 3D Assets: Created or imported using Blender and Sketchfab APIs.
  • Deployment: Hosted on Firebase for web access across all devices.

The development process involved:

  1. Designing the UI in Figma.
  2. Implementing 3D rendering using Three.js.
  3. Connecting AI APIs for subject-based explanations.
  4. Linking Firebase for user and content management.

  • ๐Ÿง  Managing AI context to ensure relevant subject explanations.

  • ๐Ÿ”’ Setting up Firebase authentication and user data sync securely.

Our ultimate goal is to make 3ducation a universal platform for visual, inclusive, and engaging education โ€” bringing concepts to life for every learner.
