Inspiration
Making a usable 3D model of a real object usually needs special hardware, a cloud service, or photogrammetry know-how. We wanted anyone with a phone and a laptop to scan an object, with everything staying on their own computer.
What it does
Your phone’s browser connects directly to your laptop over Wi-Fi, with no app to install. As you walk around an object, the phone uses its motion sensors to tell you which angle is still missing and takes photos automatically when you hold still.
