Inspiration
We were inpsired by are combined frustration for not being able to know where to put are rocks before we buy them. So we created a website to fix that.
What it does
First you input your object with there height, width, and length and minaral name. Next you create a container for your objects to be stored in then you store your obgects inside.
How we built it
We built it useing three.js for our 3d elements, node.js html html for are 2d backend, and javascript for are backend.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into trouble with implementing three.js and useing vite since we have never used these tools before.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We acomplished a website that uses 3d graphics and a ui made for the users ease of use.
What we learned
We learned alot about three.js, how to manage a github, and how to better do webdev front and backend
What's next for 3D Sorting Minerals Website
Better sorting algorithm like First-Fit Decreasing Height Function to add tags to objects then it finds best way to sort all objects by their tags Allow for uniform objects like cards to be more easy inputted
