Inspiration
I have my own 3D printer and have friends ask me to make them stuff but I never have any idea how much to charge
What it does
How we built it
I built it through coding in python
Challenges we ran into
I ran into many challenges as I have almost no experience with coding in python. So to start I ran into a large problem of not understanding mutable and immutable data types in python. I also ran into a major problem of not understanding how to store data in classes long term, that's when I used pickle, but I struggled with it for a while as I did not know how it worked.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of my ability to not only finish the project but was able to continue to add features past what I had originally hoped. As well, I am proud to have been able to start at struggling with beginner stuff like concatenating strings to then be able to concatenate strings more efficiently as the hackathon went on.
What we learned
I learned greatly how classes and functions work, I am very excited to continue my python journey in the future!
What's next for 3D Printing Pricer and Invoicer
The next steps for the 3D Printing Pricer and Invoicer are being able to make the windows more dynamic and fit more of the screen. As well as not just pack all of the widgets. Finally, make the invoice a little more detailed and professional.
