Inspiration
We found the wall of text and graphs in traditional health apps to not be very engaging nor helpful for tracking potential conditions.
What it does
Our application solves this by allowing users to interact with a 3D model of the human body in order to pinpoint locations where they have problems, giving them the chance to write notes and track these conditions not only with text, but a visualization of where this exists on the body.
How we built it
We built it using Unity, which we used to import our 3D model with ease. This allowed us to write scripts to modify the model and place notes as a user. We used a mysql database to store our notes and user data.
Challenges we ran into
We had challenges with just about all aspects of the project including: version control, UI development and database development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working with 3D models, fixing our database and finishing with time to spare.
What we learned
Using databases with Unity, PHP, hue shifting and peer programming makes projects significantly easier.
What's next for Cultivate
Highlighting parts of the body, incorporating doctors, exporting data to PDFs, customization of the model and standard data tracking pages.
