About the Project: 3D Fun Map

Inspiration

The idea for 3D Fun Map was inspired by the desire to make mapping more than just navigation. We wanted to create a platform that combines education, entertainment, and exploration. By integrating 3D visuals, gamification, and AI, our goal was to help users experience the world in a fun and interactive way, uncovering hidden stories about landmarks, buildings, and streets along the way.

What it Does

3D Fun Map redefines traditional maps by offering:

  • Realistic 3D Visualisation: Immersive 3D renderings of buildings, mountains, oceans, and other landscapes.
  • Interactive Pop-ups: Colourful, engaging pop-ups with facts about places, including their historical and cultural significance.
  • Gamification: Fun challenges like trivia quizzes, scavenger hunts, and point-based achievements for discovering hidden locations.
  • AI Insights: Integration of AI like Google Gemini to provide real-time recommendations, insights, and contextual knowledge about places.
  • Seamless User Experience: Intuitive controls with zoom, toggle, and smooth navigation for all users.

How We Built It
