Inspiration

Web users should be able to create 360 content without owning 360 cameras and they should get inspirations from each other. Facebook has enabled a cool 360 video viewer on everyone's phone. Too bad there has been lack of contents.

What it does

360videos.club is both a fan page to find cool 360 degree videos and a web tool where users can convert their panorama photos into 360 videos.

How we built it

We use facebook page and its built-in 360 video viewer. Our main job is to convert 2D photos into 3D spaces and render them into 360 degree videos then provide them back to users.

Challenges we ran into

There are still many UX problems need to be solved. For example, how to enable more annotations from users to 'decorate' their 360 videos

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got the panorama photo to 360 video working. This gonna enable lots smartphone users to create their own 360 video content.

Think about ways to let more people know about this tool. It's not easy to automate all the file/2D/3D conversions in 3 days. We'll need to take care of that.
