Inspiration

Math isn't easy. Textbooks are often obtuse and teachers aren't always available. We want to make learning more efficient!

What it does

root33 is a discord bot with several features to help you learn more efficiently.

If root33 detects a question based around a math-related keyword, it will use the Youtube API to recommend some instructional videos.

If that doesn't help, you can try the %helpmath command. It let's you send questions from any server into a help server where more people can see your question and potentially reply with help!

How we built it

root33 is built on discord.py and runs on repl.it

Challenges we ran into

There were several sticking points; mainly caused by the sheer bulk of the Youtube API and the vast depths of discord.py.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The cross-server communication is really cool and definitely was a struggle to implement!
