Inspiration
The motivation behind this project was to create a unique twist on the classic game of Go by introducing a third player
What it does
The 3-Player Go game allows players to compete on a hexagonal board, each using a different color to capture territory
How we built it
We built the game using Unity to implement game mechanics and user interface for the 3-player setup
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in designing the rules for territory capture and ensuring smooth gameplay mechanics among three players
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are elated by the pie chart's visualization of Go score data, providing players with an intuitive understanding of their performance at a glance
What we learned
We learned the importance of balancing game mechanics to ensure fair play and maintain strategic depth when introducing a third player to traditional Go gameplay
What's next for 3-Player Go
Next, we plan to refine the game mechanics, introduce additional features such as komi transactions and audio effects, and conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback for improvements
