Inspiration
My inspiration came from thinking how I could implement all 3 core ideas of the project together, then i remembered Yu-Gi-Oh GX and they have fusion monsters that swirl together to become one. So I made a trophy with the three symbolic cores of the challenge swirling into each other to do the same as the fusion monsters.
What it does
The trophy gives meaning to the golf tournament and what it stands for. While being low-key, it has a symbolic relationship with the metals used in making it.
How we built it
I built it using fusion 360, I started with my rough design from part 1 of the hackathon and tweaked it to my liking for part 2.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how I was going to remake the base to draw the focal point toward the top of the trophy. I did so by inverting the base allowing the viewers eyes to be constantly moving up toward the point.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of my trophy because I made it by myself and can now show future employers, I am capable of using fusion 360 & 3D rendering.
What we learned
I learned that whenever you run into a challenge you need to take a step back and access the situation. I ran into software issues as well as the program crashing without me having saved. However I was able to overcome those obstacles by persevering and asking my competitors for advice.
What's next for 3 Pillars of Industry
Next is to get ready to print the design into a 3D model for part three of the challenge!
