Inspiration
This project was assigned to all Production Engineering Fellows; for our orientation week, we needed to learn how to use Flask and how to build a portfolio website using it. As a result, we decided to build this website in order to introduce ourselves to the rest of the fellows and showcase past projects.
What it does
The website showcases information about both our team as a whole and each team member as an individual. On the home page, you can find information about our team and the Production Engineering Fellowship. Then you can find a list of the team members, each with a link that leads to their respective web page with more information about them.
How we built it
Used HTML to set up Styled the website using CSS Connected the different webpages using Flask
Challenges we ran into
Prior to this hackathon, we had minimal experience using Flask so getting accustomed to the new technology had a learning curve.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of the fact that we were able to make a functional portfolio site from scratch, and we were able to practice good GitHub practices, such as using the project board, making new branches, and code reviews.
What we learned
We learned how to develop a multi-page website using Flask and good GitHub practices.
What's next for Python Pythons Team 4
We plan on expanding this website in coming weeks, which include adding a feature to post blog posts and connect it to a database.
