Inspiration
It started by the motivation of seeing the beauty of the landmarks of Saudi Arabia and combining it with AI concept in order to create new images which contain random objects from each drawing.
What it does
- Learn all the details of the drawings.
- Study the colors.
- Split each drawing into tiny elements.
- Choose random collection from each drawing in order to invent a brand new drawing of imaginary land mark.
How we built it
By combining both concepts of art and artificial intelligence. The outcome were generated from 5 landscape paintings using image-to-image translation, thus finding the subtle body within the landscapes.Proudly, all the paintings were created only for the use of this project after an educated choice of the landscapes.
Challenges we ran into
Time challenging, Even though the time was limited but we managed to make full use of it and came out with our best efforts and outcomes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Originality, team spirit, doing all from scratch, preserving the copy rights, and integrity. We are so proud of our original art pieces, not only because it is original but also because we did it all during the 2 days of the AI- Artathon.
What we learned
We have learned lifetime lessons through this wonderful experience, 4 new AI concepts, new photo editing techniques, coding tricks, new coding language (P5), meeting the best of the best developers and artists..... and so many benefits that we are thankful for.
What's next for 29_ Cool artists
With the time limits we had a chance to draw only 5 paintings, but our aim is to collect all the special landmarks of Saudi Arabia which can be resulted in more than 100K drawings. Then we are planing to use those drawings in order to have a 4-50K outcome video that has completely generated by the machine. .
