Inspiration

Putting people first in our daily life is essential in order to progress in society. This is why finding solution to take care of them is vital.

24/7 PEOPLE CARE provides a system to alert people in our entourage or from a community in case we are facing an emergency. It might be that we are getting: injured, health issue, aggressed, assaulted or any negative situation difficult to deal by our means. In these cases, we need HELP.

What it does

24/7 PEOPLE CARE provides an application that sends your GPS location to your entourage or a community in order to come help you. To prevent user abuses, the user needs to have some initial funds to initiate a sending. Currently the user needs to have at least 0.1 ETH in order to send his GPS location to the blockchain. This 0.1 ETH will be stored (frozen) to the smart contract address then retrieved back to the user once he has been rescued by a rescuer.

For this project we use a smartphone for the User but it could also be a tiny lowkey IoT device that connects to the blockchain.

How I built it

I built it by thinking about simplicity first. A very easy to use UI/UX. In emergency cases, we should not think to much about finding a way out. He should be a no brainer in my opinion.

Challenges I ran into

• How to integrate an auth system
• How to send ETH to a smart contract
• How to send ETH from a smart contract to a user account

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud that I was able to deliver something that people found interesting despite I have very low knowledge about Blockchain Development.

What I learned

I learned:
‣ how to integrate auth to a Dapp easily using Torus
‣ how to send ETH to a smart contract
‣ how to send ETH from a smart contract to a user account

What's next for 24/7 PEOPLE CARE

Moving from a prototype to a real-world application :)
