Inspiration

We were pumped up to create a web tool that would bridge the gap between doctors and patients, allowing patients to consult a doctor whenever they wanted. For a healthy life keep your friends, family and doctors close.

-A full stack Web application

  • authentication and Twilio SMS notification
  • With direct and group chats along with emojis and reaction
  • built in gif support
  • ability to edit and delete messages
  • fully responsive with providing functionalities to create as many group channels as you want.
  • We can also share media like images, videos , PDF.
  • Alerts user with a new message notification when user is offline

The Problem it Solves :

Our web application creates a friendly and flexible environment between doctors and patients which will solve the issues like

  • waiting in lines for appointment
  • not being able to contact the doctors during emergency
  • no late night consultations available.

Challenges we ran into

  • At some points connectivity between platforms was an issue
  • Also we facing trouble because of mismatch of class names in js and CSS
  • Project was frozen because we were running localhost with HTTPS but was rectified by using HTTP
  • We were also stuck for a long time because our channel list and Direct Message list was not visible

Accomplishments we are proud of

Error resolved:

  • When we were able to rectify the two major errors we were facing of localhost and channel list

Successes:

  • Sending and receiving our first message was the best accomplishment
  • Also when server and site were deployed successfully

What's next for 24/7 MD

It can further be developed by adding more things like real time video chat, payment option. Also we can connect with doctors, patients and hospital and build a healthy environment with daily health update and health tips direct by experts.
