Inspiration

Inspired by "I Wanna be the Guy" series. During this quarantine time, we want to make a game that brings people together to enjoy and overcome the challenges.

What it does

It is a challenging obstacle course game. Once you win the game, you can connect with all other players that beat the game in west United States and share your thoughts and experience.

How we built it

We launched Azure Static Web App as our server and managed database through Azure SQL server. We handle frontend through Javascript and backend through PHP.

Challenges we ran into

We faced so many challenges: learning and utilizing new API, launching and managing a cloud server, collaborating remotely.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully launched a server-based web game through Azure. Make well-designed and playable game levels. Finish building the majority of the game with two different gaming mechanisms in a limited time. Built a chatroom that allows real-time interactions among users through long-polling.

What we learned

We learned new skills about launching and managing cloud servers and how to collaborate with teammates efficiently.
