Inspiration - We never had a high school career fair and we did not have an App. We wanted to create an App for the event to help students interact with the career professionals.

What it does - The App has three main components: one is the Student Questions which allows students to have questions available to ask the career professionals. The questions are random, so that students are not asking the same questions at the same time. The second component is a fun feature (photo booth) will allow students to take selfies with a career professional or peers that can be uploaded to the schools website and/or social media site. The pictures help show the student interaction as well. The third component is a survey which allows students to tell what they liked or disliked and share recommendations for the planning of the 2017-18 school year career fair.

How I built it with MIT App Inventor

Challenges I ran into were the Google Spreadsheet directions and uploading it to the App and the recommendations offered by the judges from our In-School Challenge like having a reset button and a note component.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of is we completed an App that was used by our peers and we were the first to do an App for our first Career Fair.

What I learned how to code, that it requires a lot of time, it's not easy and working together is the key to success in App building

What's next for 2016 NAF Career Fair App - to hopefully add the recommendations of the judges for a reset button and a note pad compononent
