We built Spot Finder to help photographers turn a client’s fashion inspiration into a shoot plan. From bold streetwear to soft romantic looks, we wanted the location and lighting to complement the clothing and creative vision. How we built it Using Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and Gemini, we created an app that analyzes inspiration photos, recommends matching Atlanta locations, adds golden-hour and weather information, and generates shot lists and printable proposals. Challenges and lessons We faced AI timeouts, quota limits, and inconsistent location data. We added retries, a backup model, and licensed photos with credits. We learned how to connect fashion, photography, and AI—and how reliable data and teamwork make creative tools more useful.
