Inspiration
While millions of news articles are published every day, I realized that relevancy and terseness was key. Identifying that this solution could be implemented by machine learning & pattern recognition led to the birth of 1News. Delivering news in its simplest form and fresh is what 1News aims for.
What it does
Summarizes the latest news articles into 1 sentence. Categorizes it. And can be searched by keyword.
How I built it
REST, Python, HipChat REST API.
Challenges I ran into
Identifying keys components to reduce server load, optimizing the summarization.
