1Folio

Inspiration

The inspiration is Josh's brief - which resonated with me because I have the same problem; some stocks here, some stocks there, etc. Finding the total value and gains/losses is always a lot more work than it should.

What it does

1Folio tracks all your investments and their live values. For pro members It provides a risk analysis of the their exposure to a sector or country, it provides an overall analysis, fear&greed indexes, etc. It has a learning section where a free course for learning to invest will be, and then creators can build their own courses and share them there for a price so they get creator revenue. Then there is the market news that pulls news and videos, with subsections related to the users portfolio. And more.

How we built it

A combination of manual coding, anything.com, claude opus4.3 and codex 5.3 high.

Challenges we ran into

Requiring a fully fledge backend for this to work properly and not just be a single 1 place to track investments.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The evolution of the idea, from a crude single portfolio tracker to what it is now; a complete ecosystem with creator rewards.

What we learned

That connecting to certain APIs takes a loooot longer than I would have liked

What's next for 1Folio

• To automatically connect to 3rd party trading companies so any financial moves there are reflected immediately in 1Folio. We started with this but Coinbase, Kraken, etc. require a bit of time to go through their KYC processes.
