1_20 Professional training evaluation + planning platform

Inspiration

The current situation highlights the need for online professional training with new employees. Platforms like udemy offer thousands of redundantly described courses (especially in the IT Field). Our Project aims at providing company units a consensual scoring tool for deciding which courses or learning paths new and seasoned employees should pursue. In addition, the project aims at connecting former and current learners, enabling them to associate on a learner group or mentor/mentee relationship basis.

What it does

We want to build a company tool which gives the employees the opportunity to choose the right learning course. Company mentors can recommand the right course for a specific job. Attendees can vote for courses they have attended. Our planned prototypeis an online intranet platform.

How I built it

We are using a apache httpd server, php, python, html5, css3 and sqlite3.

Challenges I ran into

This is our first online hackathon. We are not so familiar how to build something with colocated teammates yet. But we learn quick.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud about what we have achieved. We are a small team and want to continue work together.

What I learned

We have learned that everybody can contribute. Important is an open mind and curiosity.

What's next for 1_20 Professional training evaluation + planning platform

We want to finish our prototype. First, we will work on our frontend-design. We are looking forward to get feedback from all teammates. We hope that our idea helps employees.
