Inspiration
We learned to use this tools in Highschool, therefore we decided to apply it in the solution of what we believe is a common problem that is not often taken into account.
What it does
SHASK (Smart Health Auxiliary Sensing Kit) is a product that makes use of sensors to measure the vital signs of a patient in order to determine his or her medical condition. The data is presented in a mobile application and the idea is to send a notification everytime a value goes out of its normal range. The hardware is composed by the NodeMCU ESP 12-e board, medical sensors and a battery. The software is composed by an application created on android studio that uses a realtime database in google firebase and the code developed in arduino to run the hardware and collect data.
How we built it
We developed an interface on android studio that could receive and visualize the data collected by the sensors. As well, we searched for a code that could run the sensors that we would like include in the project.
Challenges we ran into
We did not had the harware available so we made our code based on digital analysis and our previous knowledge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developing an app that could receive data form firebase despite being our first semester in our university, being our first hackaton, and being only 3 members in the team.
What we learned
We learned to send data in a cloud platform and we reinforced our previous knowledges.
What's next for [19] - SHASK
Test it with real hardware and if it works, get to improve it as the time goes by to achieve a better product.
