Inspiration

11.11 is a garment alteration house in Buenos Aires. Booking a short evaluation visit is a practical coordination problem: the work, price and delivery date can only be agreed after examining the garment. I wanted to test a clearer first step using fictional data and human confirmation.

What it does

A visitor writes a limited Spanish request, such as bringing two pairs of pants for hemming this Saturday near eleven. The browser offers up to two available 20-minute slots. The visitor chooses one, reviews the extracted details and explicitly confirms. Availability is checked again before a fictional booking is saved only in that browser's localStorage.

How I built it

I used Lovable, an AI-assisted development tool, to build and iterate on the prototype. The exported source uses React, TypeScript, Vite and Tailwind CSS. The assisted interaction itself uses deterministic browser-side rules. The repository includes setup instructions and tests for interpretation, scheduling and confirmation.

What changed during the hackathon

The earlier prototype relied on a manual booking form. This update adds bounded phrase interpretation, slot suggestions, a review step, explicit human confirmation and a fresh availability check. The demonstration video shows this new flow.

Challenges and what I learned

The challenge was to make the request useful without implying that a simulated interaction understands every phrase or creates a real appointment. I kept the supported grammar narrow, disclosed the limits and checked the exported source and local tests. The date-relative schedule also means that later test runs may offer different slots than the recorded video.

Limits

This is not connected to Alexa+, has no voice interface or runtime AI model, and does not send messages, take payments or share bookings across devices. It is a local demonstration with fictional data, separate from the real 11.11 service and from EMID. The organizer confirmed in the Devpost discussion that this Lovable-built, deterministic browser simulation works for the simulated Alexa+ route. This clarification is not a judging result.
