Inspiration
i work in a tech company based in Durango, with experience in agroindustry, so i decided to get advantage of my coworkers knowledge and the tools that they could provide me.
What it does
Is basically a seasonal auction for vegetables, fruits and animals, that allows the little and marginated producers to compete for good deals, removing intermediaries and empowering them.
How we built it
We are running the backend on Rinkeby Ethereum testnet, so it can be accessed now in BETA from any other computer, but the demo is running in localhost, with Remix (Ethereum) and MetaMask for managin fake eth accounts.
Front end has been built in React JS.
Challenges we ran into
It was so difficult to run the smart contract in the ethereum testnet, and specially because the documentation is so poor and the community is not so big. That lead us to "discover" how to integrate the service with React, which was something pretty challenging :).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Smart contract running, complete demo en Remix, partial demo in ReactJS but prepared for more scalability, and some validation from experts.
What we learned
How to keep ourselvess asleep for more than 24 hours jaja
What's next for 107 - AgroMarkeet
Finish the frontend demo, with cool design and UI, an then upload it to a server, in order to representate our solution in a HIGH FIDELITY and ready to run MVP.
