Inspiration

100haryt was inspired by the idea of building a modern, local marketplace that brings different shopping experiences together in one platform. Instead of limiting customers to a single type of product or service, we wanted to create an ecosystem where people can discover and order products from shops, markets, fashion, food, gifts, and express delivery services.

Our goal is to make everyday shopping simpler for customers while giving local businesses the technology and infrastructure they need to sell online.

What it does

100haryt is a multi-vertical e-commerce and marketplace platform connecting customers with local businesses.

The platform supports different verticals, including:

  • 🛍️ Shops and general marketplace
  • 👗 Fashion and dress
  • 🍔 Food
  • 🎁 Gifts
  • ⚡ Express delivery

Customers can discover products, manage their cart, place orders, make payments, and track their deliveries through one platform.

Behind the scenes, 100haryt also provides tools for businesses and administrators to manage products, categories, brands, inventory, promotions, orders, media, and operations.

We are also building intelligent recommendation and customer segmentation capabilities that can understand purchasing behavior and recommend more relevant products. For example, if a customer frequently purchases baby products or pet products, the system can identify these interests and personalize future recommendations.

How we built it

100haryt is built around a scalable, service-oriented architecture.

Our technology stack includes:

  • Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Go
  • Frontend: React, Next.js
  • Mobile: Native Android and iOS technologies
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Caching: Redis
  • Search: Meilisearch
  • Object Storage: MinIO
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx
  • Authentication: JWT
  • Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging

The architecture is designed around independent business verticals and services, allowing us to scale different parts of the platform independently while keeping shared infrastructure reusable.

Challenges we ran into

Building a marketplace from the ground up comes with many challenges.

One of the biggest challenges was designing an architecture that could support multiple business models without turning the platform into a tightly coupled monolith.

We also had to solve complex problems around product management, inventory, orders, payments, delivery, media storage, search, and administration.

Another challenge was preparing the infrastructure for growth while keeping the system reliable and efficient. We had to think about performance, scalability, deployment, backups, networking, storage, and service-to-service communication from an early stage.

Personalization was another interesting challenge. Simply recommending popular products isn't enough. We want recommendations to understand customer behavior, interests, purchasing patterns, and the context of each vertical.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have built the foundation of a complete local e-commerce ecosystem rather than just another online store.

Some of the things we're particularly proud of:

  • Building a multi-vertical marketplace architecture
  • Creating a scalable product and catalog management system
  • Supporting multiple languages
  • Building dedicated admin and operational workflows
  • Designing warehouse picking and order fulfillment workflows
  • Integrating search, media storage, notifications, and other infrastructure
  • Building a foundation for intelligent customer segmentation and recommendations
  • Designing the platform so new verticals and services can be added without rebuilding the entire system

Most importantly, 100haryt is being built with the long-term goal of becoming a platform that local businesses can grow with.

What we learned

We learned that building an e-commerce platform is much more than building a storefront.

The difficult parts are often behind the scenes: inventory consistency, order state management, fulfillment, payments, logistics, data quality, infrastructure, and operational workflows.

We also learned that scalability should not only mean handling more traffic. A truly scalable architecture should make it easier to add new business models, teams, services, and features without creating unnecessary complexity.

Finally, we learned that personalization needs to be built around real customer behavior. The more accurately we understand what customers are interested in, the more useful the platform becomes for both customers and businesses.

What's next for 100haryt

Our next step is to turn the foundation we've built into a smarter and more complete commerce ecosystem.

We are focusing on:

  • 🤖 AI-powered product recommendations
  • 🧠 Intelligent customer segmentation
  • 🎯 Personalized shopping experiences
  • 📦 Better inventory and fulfillment management
  • 🚚 Improved delivery and logistics
  • 💳 More flexible payment and wallet capabilities
  • 📊 Advanced analytics for businesses
  • 🏪 More tools for merchants and local businesses
  • 📱 Continued improvement of mobile experiences
  • 🌍 Expanding the number of businesses, products, and service categories on the platform

The long-term vision is simple: make 100haryt the place where customers can discover, buy, and receive almost anything they need — while giving local businesses the technology to grow online.
