Inspiration

Our team, consisting of one undergraduate data science student and three MBA students, found ourselves struggling with accounting studies. We realized there was a gap in the market for an intuitive, data-driven tool to make financial statement analysis more accessible and engaging. 10-Kademy was born from our desire to create the resource we wished we had during our studies.

What it does

10-Kademy is an e-learning platform that simplifies the process of understanding financial statements from 10-K reports. It allows users to:

  • Access real financial data from various companies
  • Engage with interactive problem sets based on actual balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

How we built it

We leveraged our diverse skillset, combining the data science expertise of our undergrad team member with the business acumen of our MBA students. We focused on creating a clean, user-friendly interface that makes complex financial data more digestible. Our development process prioritized user experience, ensuring that the platform is intuitive for both finance novices and more experienced users.

Challenges we ran into
