Inspiration
I have been playing game for over 35 years, and what really amaze me about it is the way game can unite more people in ways I have never imagine before. The pinnacle of "Playing together" came in May 2018 where Pokemon Go, a mobile game manage to reach over 140 million monthly active player. I still remember the moment, hunting pokemon together with friends, the mass hysteria and how the game bring global experience in one single app. It's something that inspire me to build this.
What it does
1 Billion Gamers (1BiG) is a web platform where people can play multiplayer rhythm game together with other people in the world and gain points by finishing the game. The perks is the more player you can gather to play it together, the bigger points you'l get when the stage is cleared. The points then could get traded into digital items or even vouchers from brand partners. So it will incentivized gamers to play it every day and bring more people to it.
How I built it
I'm a non-coder developer, so my workflow to build this is brainstorming the idea with Gemini, ask Gemini to give me a good prompt to put on Bolt, and then I copied the prompt at Bolt to create the prototype
Challenges I ran into
I need a real coder and UI artist to make this appealing to real gaming market.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The prototype was built in 15 minutes. I think that's the fastest I've ever build anything in my life.
What I learned
Bolt (and Gemini) is a very powerful and efficient platform to build prototypes. But in order to turn that prototype into real product, we'll still need a team.
What's next for 1,000,000,000 Gamers
I want to build an actual team to validate this idea, build a proper game design document and really turn this idea into fruition.
