Ever wanted to create a project but didn't know where to start? Building a start up but don't have market fit? 0N1Y TECH aims to bridge the gap between developers, entrepreneurs, users and investors.

Inspiration

Everyone we've met has some crazy ideas about what projects they want to create, what startup they want to build. Many times, these people don't have the skill, or the time, to look for all the resources needed to develop a big-scale project. We decided to remove the gap between those who know-how and those who don't. Joined together by our app, everyone will now be able to create their ideas at free will.

What it does

0N1Y TECH is a space where developers, entrepreneurs, investors and users can come to try out apps, give ideas, communicate with one another or simply post their projects in search for a specific component of their bigger idea.

How we built it

We built this project using MERN stack with mongoose and axios. The web-app uses a mongo atlas server.

Challenges we ran into

To create this project we learned a completely new stack in 36 hours, therefore we ran into MANY challenges. One of the greatest challenges we had was connecting our front end and our backend properly, many times changing the name of a variable erroneously took us several hours to fix... and LOTS of CORS errors!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our biggest accomplishment is possibly that this app can participate in HackUPC. There were many instances in which we though we weren't going to be able to make it. But with a little bit (a lot...) of determination (and coffee) we finally made it.

What we learned

Aside from a completely new stack? We learned that with hard work and determination you get out of even the darkest moments of project development.

What's next for 0N1Y TECH

  1. Create a personalized page (and components) for each action people want to participate in
  2. Link investors with the possibility to pay via app
  3. Create in-app correspondence services
