Telephone Homepage Call Screening Control Center

When a caller, text, or email is sent to your phone number the call is directed to a internet homepage site that screens the call or text and the embedded program determines if the call is forwarded to your cell phone/ telephone.

This system requires the consumer to obtain two services from the free market private sector.

The first service required is VOIP phone service that is readily available from multiple companies. However the VOIP service would send all calls to a GATEKEEPER voice messaging system instead of sending calls to your home phone or cell phone. The GATEKEEPER would receive the calls instead of you receiving the calls.

Virus Protection Programing is considered essential to anyone who has a computer and most people have a Virus Program on their computer. These same companies could produce Telephone Homepage Templates or Apps. Just as consumers purchase a yearly subscription for Virus Programing on their computer, they would purchase a yearly subscription to their favorite version of Telephone GATEKEEPER software to download, customize, and control their VOIP GATEKEEPER Homepage. Each Virus Programming Company would compete to write the best combination of commands and options to attract the most consumers to their Homepage software. These competing companies could write their software to treat each incoming phone call as a potential virus and each company can come up with their best strategy for screening the phone calls using the white lists compiled by the consumer.

The key to this concept is that the screening software is stored on the web (ie the cloud) so that the VOIP contractor and Virus Program contractor and the consumer always have access to and can modify or update the software and screening.

How does this concept address one of the requirements of the challenge? The screening software must allow calls through from charities and government agencies. This is accomplished through legislation requiring the Virus Software Contractors to maintain a white list of their own that is supplied by the FTC. Qualified Charities and Government Agencies would submit their names and caller id information to a DO CALL list. Each Virus Software Contractor must keep their own white list as a requirement of providing GATEKEEPER Telephone Homepage Software. Each VOIP account would then be required to be programmed in a way to accept these calls.
