Inspired by our original program wellyou, we conceptualized a new program "wellyou in hard times" that will help people - like you and me - take care of their well-being, cope with self-isolation and all the effects that are expected to come with it. It's going to be a positive program that connects people to their friends and family, keeping them busy with a routine of fun things to do and things to share - daily photo uploads, challenges, progress, mood, etc. On Saturday, March 14th, we got the idea to adapt "wellyou in hard times." Monday, March 16th, we had the first virtual brainstorming session with our international team of volunteers. As for our diverse teams, during those meetings, we could learn from current and finished students of psychology, global health and nutrition and shared insights from people from different parts of the world who currently live or are expecting to live in quarantine.
Those meetings continued every evening until Friday, March 20th when we heard about the hackathon and used the weekend to put the complete brainstorming together and build the structure of "wellyou in hard times". On Monday, March 23, we will begin elaborating more deeply on the content. And our tech team will continue to develop the changes that are needed. With your support, we can continue to tackle all upcoming challenges and plan to globally launch the first version of "wellyou in hard times" on April 10th, which of course it will be free to use for everyone.
