Inspiration
We wanted to improve upon the existing TAMU Libraries website because we felt it was harder to find interesting events.
What it does
Our project provides recommendations for library experiences and connects users with other events in the TAMU community to promote diversity and inclusivity.
How we built it
We used a prototyping app called Figma. We had to consider what events and services the TAMU libraries offered.
Challenges we ran into
We found it difficult to raise awareness of the libraries' events and services given our more technical skillset.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of learning a new design tool as well as how to design an app from paper to a digital medium. No one in our group has experience with front-end or graphic design, so we are very proud of the overall plan we created.
What we learned
We learned about the experience of prototyping an app, especially the design aspect. We also learned how to make an intuitive and accesible user interface through Figma.
What's next for Your Tamu Library
We are interested in implementing a points system that would encourage the TAMU community to attend more of these events and provide feedback.
