About the Project
“Who Am I, Where Am I” is a Pixar-style AI animated Mandopop music video that turns everyday confusion into a fun, expressive mini-movie. The goal was to capture the chaos, humor, and emotional overload of modern life using a warm, animated visual style.
Inspiration
The project was inspired by a simple but universal feeling: “Life is so chaotic—what am I even doing?” I wanted to translate that mix of confusion and humor into a Pixar-like animated story, where exaggerated acting and bright visuals express emotions we usually hide.
How I Built It
ChatGPT: lyric ideas, rhythm flow, hook development, story tone
Suno AI: melody generation, vocals, harmonies, instrumental arrangement
Dreamina: character concepts, scene sketches, visual style references
Adobe Firefly: animated clips, Pixar-style lighting, expressive character shots
Edited and color-graded in Premiere/Capcut to unify the animation look
Challenges
Keeping the character’s face consistent across AI-generated shots
Balancing “funny chaos” with clear visual storytelling
Making AI animation feel cohesive, not like separate clips
Matching song rhythm with expressive character acting
What I Learned
Pixar-style visuals require precise prompts and careful lighting control
AI is powerful for animation, but emotional direction still needs a human touch
Combining music, comedy, and animation can create a new style of Mandopop MV
The best results come from guiding multiple AI tools toward one vision
